on tape. It has become a common weekend occurring for me to drive out there through the reddish mud out to the lake and sit and listen to books on tape. A few weeks ago I finished A Fire Upon The Deep
. Both are great space operas that stroke the imagination....something seriously epic about interstellar fiction set thousands (if not millions) of years in the future. I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while, mainly for personal nostalgia at some far off period, and maybe it will be interesting to read my thoughts some time in the future. I am headed to Tokyo in less than a months time, and figured it would be interesting to put something together, if not to store and share photos and experiences. Also, since packing up my computer with all my coding and media virtual machines to ship to Japan, I have no other projects to work on at the moment, and am a little disinterested at the moment to work on setting up my EC2 amazon virtual machine as a development server for the CR-48 i received a few weeks ago. So here is the obligatory "Hello World" post.
So tokyo...on 14 March I will be driving all the way from Fayetteville, NC to Seattle, WA to spend a few days in the company of friends and family before departing for Tokyo. My dad is flying out to meet me, and make the long drive with audio books, a trip through yellowstone, and a stop at Pullman. Fuck yes. From there I will spend a little over a week in Seattle and will fly on out on an AMC flight the 28th. Looking forward to it.
